Applying illuminating moisturizer to skin

1. Prep your skin

Start off by prepping your skin using an illuminating moisturizer to nourish your skin and make it glow. As soon as you apply it, it will give your skin that gorgeous glass-like effect.

Applying full coverage foundation to the face

2. Foundation

Apply a foundation that gives you full coverage. This way, you won't need to use any corrector because it will cover every little flaw you have on your skin.

Blending concealer with the makeup brush

3. Concealer

Take some concealer, apply it all over the center of your face, and use it as an eyeshadow primer. Proceed to take a brush and blend it all in with your foundation.

Setting makeup with finishing powder

4. Finishing powder

Next, you're going to set everything in place using finishing powder.

Shaping and filling in brows with pencil

5. Brow pencil

Take a brow pencil and lightly fill in your brows, and shape them.

Sticky tape makeup trick

6. Stick on some tape

Before moving onto the eyeshadow, take some sticky tape, and stick it to the back of my hand to make it less sticky and gentler. Then take it off your hand and, following the natural shape of your lower lash line, stick the tape at a diagonal slant to your lids.

7. Apply eyeshadow

Go with an eyeshadow palette that has lots of beautiful, vibrant colors to choose from. I went for a light green eyeshadow and applied it to the outer ⅔ of my lids.

Then, taking a darker green shade, I concentrated it onto the outermost V of my eyes to give my eyes some depth. Blend it into the previous shade.

Next, take a black eyeshadow and smudge it out on your upper lid where you would normally apply eyeliner. Finally, take the green eyeshadow again and blend everything out. This is so easy because of the tape, and you're going to get a nice clean line.

Repeat the process on the other eye.

Applying glitter liquid eyeliner

8. Glitter liquid eyeliner

Next, take some sparkly liquid eyeliner and apply it to the center of your upper lids. This will give your eyes a beautiful glittery effect.

Creating a perfect wing with sticky tape

9. Black liquid eyeliner

Next, extend the inner corners of your eyes by applying a very thin line of liquid eyeliner across your lash line.

Applying mascara and false lashes

10. Mascara and false lashes

Coat your upper lashes with some mascara. Then, go ahead and take some individual lashes and apply them to the outer corner of your eyes to give you that nice lifted, cat-eye sort of effect.

11. Remove the tape and apply under eye makeup

The next step is to remove the tape, which will have given your eyeshadow such a clean line finish. Now, you need to fix the concealer under your eyes. Just take some more concealer and blend it all in, and also set your cheeks with some finishing powder.

Taking the darker green shadow, apply that on your lower lash line and finish the eye look with some mascara on your lower lashes.

Applying contour to the face

12. Contour

Go ahead and contour the sides of your face as well as your forehead and jawline. You can also contour the sides of your nose to make it appear taller and slimmer.

Applying blush to the cheeks with a brush

13. Blush

Take some blush and apply it over the contour and then blend it all in.

Applying highlighter to the nose bridge

14. Highlighter

Apply highlighter to the high points of your cheeks, your cupid's bow, and the bridge of your nose. Add some on top of and under your eyebrows and to the inner corners of your eyes.

Applying liquid lipstick to lips

15. Lipstick

To finish off the look, apply some liquid matte lipstick. To help you choose the color lipstick that is right for you, Amazon has a virtual tool that allows you to see what a lipstick will look like on you simply by uploading a photo of yourself!
