Here’s a quick and super-cute look that works on all lengths of medium to long hair.

You’ll need a couple of hair ties and some woolen or embroidery thread in your favorite color or to match your outfit.

Cut the thread into two long lengths. It needs to be a couple of inches longer than your hair when doubled up.

Tools and materials:

  • 2 hair ties
  • 2 pieces of woolen or embroidery thread
Sectioning hair

1. Section your hair

Separate a small section of hair on one side of your crown and wrap a hair tie around it to hold it in place.

Sectioning hair

Do the same on the other side, so you have two high bunchies in your hair.

Attaching thread

2. Attach the thread

Double one of the threads evenly and place it under one of the areas you sectioned off.

Hold the loop open in one hand and the two free ends in the other.

Attaching thread

Pass the two ends through the loop and pull them tight.

Braiding hair

3. Braid your hair

Separate your sectioned-off hair into two strands and braid them, incorporating the thread as the third strand.

Continue until a couple of inches of thread remain.

Securing ends

4. Secure the ends

Wrap the end of the thread over your finger and around your hair.

Securing ends

Pass the end through the loop and pull it tight. Leave the free ends hanging down.

Wrapped hairstyle

Repeat with the other hair section and you have a pretty, quick and easy new hairstyle!
