Go on a Beach Trip for This Perfect Mermaid Clip DIY
Are you headed to the beach? Here, I’m going to show you some gorgeous DIY hair clips that you can make using the shells you find on your trip.
If you weren’t planning on going to the beach, this fun accessory will make you want to now.
For this DIY, you will need three things: alligator clips, super glue, and the beautiful sea shells that you’ve collected on the beach.
You can, of course, buy sea shells or fake shells in your local craft store, if going to the beach isn’t practical for you.
Tools and materials:
- Alligator clips and contour clips
- Superglue
- Sea shells
1. Glue clips
First, place glue all along the clips.
2. Add shells
Then add the shells to the glue.

Here are the finished clips. I’ve used shells of all different colors, shapes, and sizes to add variety and create really interesting and unique pieces.
