Festive Upcycled Vintage Brooches

How does the holiday season sneak up so quickly each and every year? Just when I think I’m ahead of the game and completely organized winter arrives and it turns out I’m not quite as pre-prepared as I thought I was, humph!

Last year I shared my 13 very easy last minute DIY gifts for those unexpected prezzie emergencies so I figured this year I’d put together a couple of cute and quirky refashionista DIYs to help complete your funktastically festive style!

Snag those old holiday accessories and whip up some holly jolly outfit toppers with my festive upcycled vintage brooches – this is fab way to get kiddos refashioning too!

Method one: Grab a less than stellar brooch + a bunch of festive nail polish colours.

Refresh the brooch with a new paint job!

Top it off with a coat of glittery polish & enjoy!

Method two: Grab another old brooch + your glue gun and a bunch of pompoms from your stash.

Arrange and glue the pompoms to the brooch in your desired pattern.

If needed, add a border to completely cover the original brooch.
