How to Make Super Prayer Bead Nut Earrings
I saw these lovely large size prayer nut beads and thought they would make super unique boho earrings! They were pre drilled with holes and just need assembling!
They kind of look like walnuts too and so thought why not make eco friendly earrings from non edible nuts. ( well I think they are not edible?!)
It easily threads through the nut and I chose a pin head with ornate silver finial on the end. Then to use round nosed pliers to twist the silver pin around to make a little loop to fit the sterling silver ear hook onto.
Then it’s about just using a small jump ring to thread onto loop and hanging ear wires on nice and firmly. The pliers help to tighten the connection to keep them from slipping off.
The process is repeated for the other earring and I choose a nut that looks similar shape size to look balanced and dangle similarly. Also as they are chunky but so lightweight and easy to wear.
I have the idea that could also
work as varied look would be to try paint them bright colours! That’s for another project😀
