Sawing the top off the pencil

Start by cutting the pencil's tip with a small saw. You can rotate the pencil as you go along to make sure the cut is as straight as possible. Be careful not to cut the table or fingers. That’s why it’s best to cut the pencil on a stone for this step.

Sawing the bottom off the pencil

Next, cut a 2cm (0.78”) piece for the back.

Sanding the ends down on sandpaper

Sand the ends on both raw edges.

Supergluing an earring post to the front

Use superglue to glue an earring post to the front.

Using scissors to hollow out the pencil

For the back, use scissors or any other pointy object to hollow the pencil. Do this until you can see that you can fit the earring post inside.

Filling the hole with hot glue

Then, fill the hole with hot glue and let it cool.

Piercing the glue with earring post

Once the glue is dry but soft, pierce the glue with the earring.

Coating the pencil in clear nail polish

To protect the pencil and make sure it does not smudge any color on your clothes, paint the tip and end with clear nail polish.

Easy colored pencil jewelry

Your colored pencil necklace is complete! Do you like this style?

Sawing the blunt end off a colored pencil

Colored pencil bracelet

If you want your pencil jewelry to be more discreet, like this bracelet, this is for you! It does not look like a pencil at all. Cut a piece off the blunt end of the pencil.

Covering the pencil piece with washi tape

To make it more colorful, you can cover it with either washi tape or colored nail polish.

Screwing hooks into the ends

Screw the hooks on each side.

Looping suede cord through the hooks

Use a suede cord or any other thick cord on hand to make the wristband. Fold a piece and loop the folded cord through the hook on either end.

Tying the cord ends in knots

Then, tie a knot.

Gluing the crimp ends to the cord

Close the bracelet by attaching crimp ends, jump rings, and a clasp. Glue the crimp ends on first.

Crimping the crimp ends with pliers

Use your pliers to crimp them down.

Attaching the jump ring and clasp

Then, feed through your jump ring and clasp and tighten everything with your pliers.

Attaching a jump ring to the other end

Don’t forget to place a jump ring on the other end!
