Make the tassel

Open up your embroidery floss and then cut it in half (making sure the threads don’t mix, simply cut right down the middle). This will leave you with two columns of embroidery floss. Pull a strip from each column (to be used to tie the tassel) and place it aside. Next, fold each column over twice (so in half and then again into quarters). Now, take that string you left out and use it to tie a knot around the tassel.

Connect the tassels

Trim the bottom to get rid of any connected loops and then again to even the tassel out. Next, insert some string into your needle and then weave the needle through the top of one tassel, tying a knot to secure it. After that, insert the needle through the bottom middle of the next two, to secure all three tassels in a row. Just remember not to pull too hard so that the tassels don’t all smash together.

Connect the hook

To connect the hook (of the earring) use a satin stitch. If you don’t know how to do a satin stitch it’s as simple as just sewing the same spot over and over. So, to connect the hook, just repeat the same stitch until you’ve covered the hook and secured it.
