Tools and materials:
- 2 hair ties
- Curling iron
- Hair brush
- Bobby pins
1. Separate the hair in the front and make a ponytail
Start off with a middle part. Using your fingers or a comb, separate the hair in front of your ears.
Then collect the rest of your hair into a high ponytail.
2. Make a loosely wrapped bun
Wrap the tail end around the base of the ponytail, almost musing it down as you go. It shouldn’t be taut.
Then secure this with another hair tie.
3. Curl the hair in front and brush through them
Use a curling iron to carefully the loose hair in the front away from your face, in sections to create 3-4 curls on each side.
After holding it on the iron for a few seconds, let it loose and scrunch the curl with your hand.
Here’s what it should look like at this point:
I even curled a long and sticking out from the bun. Brush through the curls in the front.
4. Pin up the curls
Grab some curls on 1 side and pin them back, at the base of the bun.
Repeat on the other side, leaving down the curls closest to your face to frame it.
For the final touch, pinch and pull the bun to add volume to either side.
This hairstyle is great for beginners because it looks great and doesn’t have to be exact!
