In this tutorial, I’m going to show you my shower routine for glowing skin.

My everything shower routine is packed with some of my favorite beauty hacks for soft and glowy skin. Let’s jump right into it!

Tools and materials:

  • Shower gel with oil
  • Bath sponge
  • Exfoliating body scrub
  • Shaving gel
  • Double or triple-bladed razors
  • Back exfoliator
  • Facial cleanser
  • Facial exfoliator sponge
  • Epsom salts for bath
  • Candle
  • Niacinamide serum
  • Face moisturizer
  • Face oil
  • Glycolic acid
  • Body moisturizer
  • Body oil
Using shower gel with oil

1. Use a shower gel with oil

If you struggle with dry skin, rub your body top to bottom with a body shower gel that contains oil. The one I use is macadamia oil.

Combined with a bath sponge, this will be your initial exfoliation.

Exfoliating skin

2. Exfoliate with a body scrub

This initial wash shouldn’t be your only exfoliation, so you’ll need an exfoliating body scrub as well.

Apply this with your hands and then rinse it off.

Always exfoliate before shaving because it helps minimize ingrown hairs.

Shaving legs

3. Shave your legs

If you wish to, apply a shaving gel and then shave your body.

I recommend getting double or triple-bladed razors for a smooth shave.

Washing body

4. Cleanse again

Wash your body again to get rid of all of the hair residue. Don’t forget about your elbows, your knees, and your back.

Exfoliating back

I like to use this back exfoliator to help reach.

It’s so good at getting rid of any dirt or sweat residue. Rinse off the soap and your body care is done.

Cleansing face

5. Cleanse your face

Wash your face with a good cleanser. I’m using a vitamin C and grapefruit cleanser to help reduce discoloration and brighten my skin.

I also use a facial exfoliator sponge to help get rid of whiteheads. It has a bit of texture to it, but it’s not too harsh.

Running bath

6. Take a bath

This wouldn’t be a self-care routine without a nice bath and a lit candle.

Sometimes I have those days where I need to soak in a bath for 30 minutes with Epsom salts.

I like to use eucalyptus salts to help me relax my muscles.

Applying serum

7. Apply a niacinamide serum

In the morning and at night, I like to pat a niacinamide serum on my skin to help control texture and get rid of whiteheads.

Applying moisturizer to face

8. Apply a face moisturizer

Apply a daily moisturizing lotion and rub it into your skin for extra hydration. I like using an oatmeal moisturizer to calm the skin down.

Applying face oil

9. Apply a face oil

Apply a face oil after your moisturizer to help lock in the moisture from your daily lotion. I like to use rosehip seed oil.

Applying glycolic acid to armpits

10. Apply glycolic acid under your arms

Glycolic acid is great if you have dark underarms or you struggle with body odor. I use this about 4 times a week.

Applying body moisturizer

11. Apply a body moisturizer

Apply a body moisturizer. The one I use smells really good, it’s super hydrating, and it helps with texture.

Applying body oil

12. Apply a body oil

The final step of my shower routine is to apply body oil to lock in all the added moisture.
