Cute and Easy No-part Milkmaid Braids Tutorial
Milkmaid braids are beautiful and timeless!
Follow along with my step-by-step tutorial to learn how to do no-part braids.
Let's get started.
Tools and materials:
- 1 hair clip
- 2 hair elastics
- Bobby pins
I very often see women wearing their milkmaid braids like this.
This way is fine! It looks super cute from the front and the sides.
But, in my opinion, something is definitely lacking in the back:
I’m going to show you a different milkmaid braid method that’s more flattering in a 360 degree way, with no part down the back!
1. Split your hair into 2 sections
Collect your hair into 2 sections at the base of your neck.
Grab the hair below the hairline and separate each section to your front.
Twist and clip one side so that it’s out of the way.
2. Make a 3-strand braid
Take the free section and pull it to the opposite side.
With the hair pulled to that side, make a 3-strand braid.
Tie off the end with a hair elastic.
3. Make another 3 strand braid
Remove the clip and pull the other section of hair to the other side, across the first braid.
Create the 2nd 3-strand braid when the hair is pulled in this direction and tie off the end with a hair elastic.
4. Create the milkmaid crown
Now the braids are laying flat and in the proper direction.
Pull each braid up to create the crown of the milkmaid hairstyle.
Cross the tails at the top of your head in the front and tuck the end of each braid underneath the other braid with the help of a few bobby pins.
Do your best to tuck the pins underneath the braid so that they won’t be seen.
The results are a more sophisticated milkmaid braid hairstyle with a bit more volume in the back.
No-part milkmaid braid
This no-part milkmaid braid hairstyle is simple enough for an everyday look and it’s very flattering.
