- Soap cutter or knife
Active Time
- 1 lb (16 1”x1” cubes) goat’s milk melt and pour soap base
- ½ tsp pink mica colorant
- 10 drops almond fragrance oil
- 15-20 drops red cherry fragrance oil
- ¼ cup quick oats
- Silicone 4” soap mold
- 4 cup microwave safe measuring cup
- Wooden craft stick, or something to stir the soap
- (optional) spray bottle with rubbing alcohol.
- Soap cutter or knife
- Cut the soap base into 1-inch cubes and place it into the measuring cup.
- Heat soap base in the microwave for 30 seconds, remove, and stir well. Heat in 30-second bursts, stirring well between each heat session, until soap base is fully melted.
- Add mica colorant, stir well. *Tip: to help prevent color clumps, you may add mica to a very small bowl or dish, and add a very small amount of rubbing alcohol, then stir. This can help the color blend easier.
- Add fragrance oils, stir well.
- Add most of the oats, but set some aside to sprinkle on the top. Stir well.
- Pour soap mixture into the mold, spray with rubbing alcohol to reduce bubbles.
- Sprinkles remaining oatmeal over the top. Allow soap to set for about 4 hours.
- Remove soap from the mold and cut into (4) 1-inch bars.
