How to Style An Oversized Blazer
If you follow fashion trends, you probably saw that oversized blazers are everywhere for fall. But how exactly do you wear one without looking like you borrowed your husband's coat because you were cold or like a little girl playing dress up with her dad's suits?
It's all a matter of styling and the proper proportions. And finding a blazer you love. The one I'm wearing here I bought on a trip to the UK. It's vintage, it has beautiful leather button detail and colorful tweed. Yes, it's a men's jacket, so it's oversized on me, just what I wanted! Keep in mind you can also opt for a women's boyfriend blazer, which is a blazer, usually made of light fabric, that is cut slightly oversized but still slender and fitted around the shoulders for a woman's frame. It doesn't fall the same way a men's blazer will, which will look bigger and boxier all around.
Here are some ideas for how to style an oversized blazer.

Oversized Blazer with Jeans and a T-shirt
Jeans and a white t-shirt are just a good base layer for any kind of casual fall and winter outfit because you can easily layer over them, and they go with everything. The oversized blazer is no exception. No matter what kind of texture or print your blazer is, it will always work with your basic jeans and t-shirt combo. Roll up your sleeves and get ready to turn some heads!

Oversized Blazer with a Sheath Dress
One trick to styling an oversized blazer is to keep what's underneath fitted and sleek so you don't layer big on top of big. A slim-fit sheath dress goes perfectly with the boxy, oversized blazer so people can still see your shape under the intentional bigness of the blazer.

Oversized Blazer with a Mini skirt and Band T-shirt
Blazers are usually reserved for more formal wear, but you can give them a little edge by pairing it with a rock 'n' roll look of a mini skirt and band t-shirt. In keeping with the slim fit underneath, look for minis that are body con or straight fit rather than flared or skater skirt style. You'll have a look that would make ultimate rocker girl Patti Smith proud.
