How to Wear Pantone’s Color of the Year
Every year, Pantone, the maker of the established color matching system to create standardized colors, chooses a color of the year for designers and trendsetters to follow in everything from home interiors to fashion.
The Pantone Color Institute created the Pantone Color of the Year educational program in 1999 to engage the design community and color enthusiasts worldwide in a conversation around color. “We wanted to draw attention to the relationship between culture and color,” said Laurie Pressman, vice president of the Pantone Color Institute.
The color chosen for the year 2024 is Peach Fuzz, a soft, warm, pale orange hue. According to the Pantone website, “ Peach Fuzz captures our desire to nurture ourselves and others.”
