Here’s a t-shirt hack that will fix those old t-shirts so you can enjoy them again!

Tools and materials:

  • Acetone
  • Cotton balls
  • Small plastic bag or gloves (optional)

1. Treat your t-shirt with acetone

Put some regular acetone on a cotton pad. 


I put my hand inside a small sandwich bag to protect my skin from the acetone.

Locate the cracks in your t-shirt photo. I’m going to work on the big crack that is appearing on the nose, in my t-shirt.

Dab your acetone-soaked cotton swab over the affected area of your t-shirt.

Now, check out how that crack in the photo has almost completely disappeared!

2. Repair all the cracks 

Repeat wherever you have cracks in your t-shirt art.

    Won't that make the t-shirt flammable?

      The acetone will evaporate almost immediately once you apply it so there is no danger of it being combustible anymore. Just don't have an open flame near you while you are doing it.
