Save Thousands on These Jimmy Choo Shoes and DIY Your Own
I saw a pair of Jimmy Choo heels, and I knew that I had to have them for my wedding, but not for the $2000 price tag!
So, I made my own.
In this designer shoes dupe, I’m going to show you how you can save thousands on a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes.
Tools and materials:
- Shoes
- E6000 glue
- Adhesive pearls
- Syringe
- Pick-up tool
1. Apply glue to shoes
Instead of applying glue to each individual pearl and then sticking them on, I find the easier thing to do is to apply glue to the shoes first and then add the pearls.
To do this, I like to fill a syringe up with glue and then squirt it in a straight line.
2. Add pearls
Next, pick up your pearls with a pick-up tool and place them on top of the glue.
For this DIY, you want pearls in all different shapes to add variation to the look.
3. Add different sizes
Alternate between lines of large pearls and lines of smaller pearls.
Also, fill in any empty spaces with smaller pearls. Do this all the way around both pairs of shoes.
Designer shoes dupe: DIY Jimmy Choo heels
Here are the finished shoes, complete with the distinctive giant pearl at the front on either shoe.
They look just like the real thing while only costing a fraction of the price.
I get so many compliments on these shoes, and you will, too, if you give them a go for yourself!
