How to DIY Gucci Dupe Bow Shoes for the Holidays

It’s true – the holidays are coming! It’s never too early to start thinking about holiday glam, and in this tutorial, I’m going to show you how to make some stunning DIY “Gucci”-style bow shoes.
For under $20, you’ll be able to make your own shoes look like they cost a fortune. You can add these bows to heels, boots or sneakers, and place them on the toe, foot or ankle, for a multitude of holiday shoes that make a statement!
Tools and materials:
- Assorted beaded bows
- Sewing elastic
- Hot glue gun
1. Measure the elastic
Your bows will attach to your shoes with elastic, so you need to measure how much elastic you need for each bow.
Take the measurement with your foot inside the shoe you want to attach a bow to.
Cut the elastic to fit around your foot and under the shoe. Pull the elastic pretty tight to fit snugly.
Use the first piece you cut as your guide to the second piece for the other shoe.
Use hot glue to close the ends of your elastics.
2. Attach your bows
Put about 1½ inches of glue across the center top of your bow.
Press the elastic into the glue, with the center seam of the elastic at the center of the bow.
Press down the elastic in the center and on the sides, covering all of the glue, and let dry.
3. Slide the bow onto your shoe
Now, just slide the elastic over your shoe. You can position the bow on the top of your shoe.
You could also slide the elastic up higher so the bow sits above the top of your shoe and some of your foot is visible between the bow and the shoe.
Here’s how I’ve placed the bow in the middle of the top of my shoe.
Now the bow is right at the toe.
Look! I even glammed-up my holiday sneakers.
