This is the Perfect Hairstyle for Festival Season
Here is a really fun, playful hairstyle that is perfect for the summer festival season.
You’ll love the simplicity of this style, and that fact that you can match it to whatever you are wearing, or a particular festival’s color scheme!
Tools and materials:
- Hair elastics
- Decorative tinsel
- Hair clips
1. Section your hair
Start with a small section of hair taken from the front of your head, next to the center part.
2. Bling out your hair elastic
Put some long decorative tinsel through a small clear hair elastic, with the tinsels hanging down equally on both sides.
Secure a small ponytail with your blinged-out hair elastic.
3. Create another ponytail
Move your first ponytail out of the way. Then, make a second small ponytail with a section of hair taken from behind the first ponytail.
Secure your second ponytail with a blinged-out hair elastic as well.
4. Weave your ponytails
Separate your first ponytail into two strands and lay them across the top of your head, hanging down the back. Keep both strands on the same side of your part.
Now, bring the rear ponytail forward over the top of the front ponytail.
5. Make a final single braid
Clip your rear ponytail, that you’ve brought forward, out of your way so you can work on the first ponytail again.
Take the outside section of your first ponytail and add some hair from behind it to make a slightly thicker ponytail.
Secure that ponytail with a hair elastic.
Flip your rear ponytail back into place.
Braid all three sections together once and add a bit more hair, so the braid lays flat against your head.
Secure the braid with a hair elastic.
Repeat on the other side.
