I'm really ready for Spring already, in fact so much so that I've made a new vest top and I'm going to share all the details with you, but just in case you're not ready to go sleeveless yet, I'm going to show you how to style it for Spring or the chilly winter!!

So the pattern I used is the Fibremood Yuka top and dress, and you can find the pattern here > Yuka dress Sewing Pattern | Fibre Mood and the fabric is a blue and white striped jersey which you can grab here > Jersey Fabrics | Minerva

This is such a speedy make, you're going to love seeing it coming together before your eyes!!

After cutting it out the first step is to stitch the shoulder seams together, I'm using some clips instead of pins, I really prefer using clips with my overlocker.

Once that's done we stitch the neck band on and the armhole bands, its coming together really quickly already!

Next we need to stitch the side seams together, I've actually basted the side seams here, because I really wanted to match the stripes at the side seams up really well! The only thing to do now is hem the bottom and then we can style it up!!

Here it is, isn't it great and so quick, here I'm wearing it with my favourite jeans for a cool and casual look.

But for a more winter look or to wear it smartly for work, you can style it up over a white shirt and with some smart trousers.

Which is your favourite version?
