I'm so thrilled with my latest make and can't wait to share all the cute details with you!!

I made this beautiful blouse in the prettiest Broderie Anglaise from Felicity Fabrics and I'm going to show you how I made it and my styling tips to wear this two ways.

So lets get started, I got all the pieces cut out from 1.5m but there wasn't much left!!

The pattern is The Melilot by Deer and Doe Mélilot shirt - Deer&Doe (deer-and-doe.fr)

Firstly lets get some shaping into the front bodice, by adding bust darts and a little extra stiffness to the collar and cuffs by adding some iron on interfacing!

Once the darts are stitched, we can pop on the pocket and stitch the button band down, I did this by folding it over twice and then stitching down. The lovely fabric was from Felicity fabrics online and you can get some too here > Molly white – Felicity Fabrics

lets get the two front bodice sections to the back at the shoulder seams.

Then lets get the shoulder seams stitched.

Then we stitch the underarm seams and add the sleeve cuffs.

We're almost finished now, just the collar to add and then lets get some buttons attached.

Ta-da!! Here it is all complete, I'm loving wearing my new blouse layered up over a strappy top and Capri pants for a shopping trip around the town, I can wear a spaghetti strap top and cover up when it gets a bit chilly or I need to get some protection from the mid day sun!!

Or how about this outfit idea? Styled with my pink cords for a cooler day and a more laid back style??
