How to Get Wet Look Curls in Your Hair

If you want beautiful relaxed curls that last for days, follow along with this wet look curls tutorial for step-by-step instructions. This simple, casual style will leave you looking fabulous, while still giving off a fun, carefree vibe.
Tools and materials:
- Thermal modeling spray
- Heat protection spray
- Flat brush
- Curling iron
- Spray mousse
- Wax spray
Clean hair
To achieve this look, start with clean, dry hair.
Section
Starting at the bottom of your head, section off two small segments of hair.
Brush and spray
Spray each section of hair with the thermal modeling spray while running a brush through it.
Curl
Take a small section of hair, and wrap it around your curling iron. Make sure to alternate which direction you wrap your curls, otherwise, they will end up linking together and become one large curl. By alternating the direction of the curls you will get more body and texture.
Repeat
Let loose another layer of hair, and repeat the spray, brush, and curl steps done previously for the first layer of hair.
Apply mousse
Once you’ve curled about a third of your hair, spray a generous amount of mousse into your hands, and rake it through your hair. This is going to relax the curls quite a bit, and change them from corkscrew to wavy.
Apply wax spray
Next, separate your curls a bit, and spray on some wax spray. This is what gives it that wet look, helps the curls hold their shape, and gives the hair texture. It is similar to hair spray, but it will leave your hair feeling soft instead of tacky.
Repeat
Repeat all the steps until you’ve sprayed, brushed, curled, moussed, and waxed all of your hair.
Separate curls
Finally, you can flip some hair to one side if you want that extra volume, and separate the curls by lifting them and shaking them out a bit for texture.
Perfect wet look relaxed curls!
This look lasted four days for me. Even after putting my hair up in a bun, and taking it down again, the curls still held.

I love this look but am not sure if it would work on my shorter hair.
I shall definitely be trying this , however my hair is straight and shorter than yours so I may skip the mousse as the curl will relax anyway especially in this Algarvian weather.
