Cowgirl 🤝 Coastal Grandma

Straw hats are great for summer because they protect you from the sun with a breathable material that will keep you cool.
I love this DIY because the coastal cowgirl look is so fun and trendy.
Tools and materials:
- Straw hat
- Rope
- String of turquoise beads
- Glue
- Scissors
1. Straw hat
Start with a plain straw hat. You can use one from home if you have one. If not, find a cheap one at a local discount shop.
2. Braid
Take three pieces of rope that are a few inches longer than the measurement around the base of the hat.
Braid them together. Do this three times so you have three braids.
Get a string of turquoise beads.
You can use an old necklace if you have one, or pick up a string of beads at your local arts and crafts shop.
3. Decorate
Grab some E6000 glue to apply your braided rope and beads.
Simply apply the glue around the circumference of the base of the hat.
Then press on each decorative element one at a time.
