1. Apply foundation

Start out with a light layer of foundation. Apply it first with your fingers and then blend it with a beauty blender.

2. Sculpt the skin

Use a contour stick to sculpt the skin around the hollows of the cheeks, down the nose, around the hairline, a small amount on either side of the chin (even under your jaw if you prefer).

Contouring

Then press it into the skin with a foundation brush.

The key is to stay in the areas where you applied the contour since circular motions will distort the sculpting process.

Contouring

Use a smaller brush for the nose.

Contouring

Then use your beauty blender with the residual foundation still on it to soften the appearance of the contour.

3. Apply concealer

Apply a small amount of concealer to highlight and bring forward the inner and outer corners of the eyes and cover up any dark areas.

Then blend it in with your beauty blender.

4. Add color to your eyelids

Start by applying a rose gold, shimmery shadow to your mobile lids.

I recommend applying shimmer shadow with your finger so that you don’t waste it on a brush.

Applying eyeshadow

Pat on a shimmery nude shade to the inner corners of your eyes as well as a small amount on the brow bone, under the arch, using a small brush.

Really buff it into the skin to avoid a frosted finish.

Applying eyeshadow

Apply bronzer with a tapered brush to the socket of your eyes for a cohesive look.

Then pull that color out in a V shape at the outer corner of each eye.

Applying eyeshadow

Apply the rose-gold shade under your lower lash line with a dense brush.

5. Line your eyes

Use a brown eyeliner pencil to line the outer third of your lids.

For your lower lashes, apply it predominantly on the outer third but drag a bit more toward the center of your eye.

Lining eyes

Soften the lines with a small brush. Wipe any build-up on a tissue as you go.

6. Apply mascara and false lashes

Apply mascara. Then carefully apply individual, false lashes to extend the length without overpowering your natural lashes.

Be patient and allow the glue to get tacky before applying each one.

6. Dust on bronzer

Apply bronzer with an angled brush over the cream contour. Bronzer can go a little higher on the cheekbone.

The rule of thumb is to apply it where the sun would naturally hit.

7. Apply blush

Buff some cream blush on the back of your hand in a shade that compliments your eyeshadow.

Apply it with a brush between the bronzer and the concealer in a patting motion.

Applying blush

8. Apply finishing powder

Remove some shine by applying finishing powder through the center of the face.

If you’re particularly oily, start with a setting powder before the finishing powder.

You can also apply this at the seams of your blush to soften it.

9. Color your lips

Line your lips with a lip pencil. I’m not going to overline but rather stick with the shape of my lips.

Coloring lips

Use a brush to soften the inside of the line. Avoid the outline because we aren’t going for a blurred finish.

Coloring lips

Fill them in with the blush you used earlier.

Finally, dab on some of the rose gold eyeshadow.

When I move my face, I get a beautiful shift in color that matches the eyes for a monochromatic finish.
