Picnic Style Inspo

It's the time of year to get outdoors and enjoy nature! With many beautiful sunny days ahead it is the perfect time of year to head out for picnics. There's nothing better than taking a blanket, a basket of your favourite snacks, and the perfect outfit out to enjoy an afternoon. Here are four style ideas I would wear to a picnic.

Nothing goes better with a picnic than gingham. This two piece set is the perfect picnic attire! I paired the matching set with a simple white mini bag and some fun blue jelly heels that matched well with my colour scheme. You could even throw on a bikini underneath if you were heading for a swim afterwards.

A simple flowy dress is another great option. This pastel yellow dress ( another option here too) is the perfect fabric for keeping you breezy and also has sleeves to keep your arms covered up. Great for evenings when it starts to cool down a bit. I added some classic heels to make this look more chic.

One of my favourite styles is matching knit sets. This two piece shorts and cardigan went so perfectly with my pink knit blanket and made the cutest combo. I styled a little white cropped tank underneath, and this one is one of the staple pieces in my wardrobe. I also had a matching blue bag to go along with the set, then finished off the look with some summery white heeled sandals. A cardigan is great for layering and you could easily take it off or tie it around you if you wanted to cool down, then pop it back on to warm up later.

Finally, this option is great for a casual picnic. The pop of purple from the shorts makes the style really fun and casual, and a matching bag is a must. I wore this tank in a nude colour and it also came with this matching shrug piece that was really unique and different. Shoes that would go great with this style include sneakers or sandals, either in a neutral tone or a complimentary colour to match with the shorts.
