Wear Your Button-up This New Way
I want you to try to wear your button-up this new way. I love finding a variety of methods to style one article of clothing.
I’m going to show you a couple of unique and fashion-friendly ways to wear a button-up.
Tools and materials:
- Button-down shirt
- Skirt
- Belt
- Rubberband
1. Fancy, open-back wrap-around
Put on a long skirt for the base of the outfit.
Hold your shirt against the front of your body with the front of the shirt facing in.
Wrap the sleeves of the shirt under your armpits and towards your back. Cross them at the back and wrap them around the neck.
Tie them together at the front around your neck with a rubber band.
Take the ends of the sleeves and adjust them, opening them and wrapping them around each other so they look like a flower.
Strap a belt around your waist and you’re all set.
2. "Skirting the issue" look
For the second look, style the shirt the same way you did for the first look.
This time instead of starting with a skirt as a base, style the shirt first and then pull your skirt on over the shirt.
Tie the look together with a belt at the waist. I love the sleek, classy feel of this silhouette.
Wear your button-up this new way
I hope you like these two alternative ways to wear your button-down. Give these looks a try at home.
