6 Cute & Romantic Valentines Day Outfit Ideas Featuring the Color Red

In today's tutorial, I'm going to be sharing with you six Valentine's Day outfit ideas with red.

I personally don't believe so much in Valentine's Day, but my husband is a hopeless romantic - he does the whole flowers-and-chocolates thing (the chocolate being my favorite part!).

But, I still think it's good to do something for Valentine's Day; go out to the movies, go out to a bar, just have fun! So, here are some different styles of Valentine's Day outfits that you could wear for different kinds of activities.

Red palazzo pants with a cold-shoulder top

1. Bold red palazzo pants

Ok, so this is not a winter Valentine’s day outfit, but for the ladies who are lucky enough to live in hotter climates, this one’s for you!

I decided to go for a bright red pair of palazzo pants. I think they are super flattering, and the color just screams Valentine's. They are flowy, layered, and accentuate curves the right way.

I matched it with a pinstripe off-the-shoulder top. Red is a powerful color, so you can keep the rest of your outfit simple. This look is more on the dressy side, so I would wear it out for dinner with friends or my significant other.

I paired this combo with black open-toe heels, a black handbag, and bold red lipstick. I love a bright red lip all year round, but on Valentine's Day, it stands out even more.

Floral blouse with jeans and red accessories

2. Floral top

This is a casual yet put-together Valentine’s Day outfit. I went for this romantic floral chiffon button-up shirt as my focal point, pairing it with a pair of dark jeans.

I continued the red theme with accessories: red studded heels, a cute red handbag, and of course, a bold red lip again. Go big or go home, right?

Overall, it’s such a beautiful ensemble, and the flowers really go well with the occasion. This look is perfect for when you want to dress up but you don’t want to overdo it.

Red ruffle-sleeve dress and polka-dot stockings

3. Little red dress

This look is more romantic and girly. This dress is super bright and super bold, but the ruffles on the sleeves make it feel softer and more feminine.

I paired the dress with some cute polka dot hosiery, which I think also adds to the romance. I would wear this outfit to an intimate dinner with my significant other.

To finish off the look, I added a pop of print with this beautiful houndstooth coat. Red is such a bold color, so pairing it with a print like this makes it stand out even more.

Red over-the-knee boots with a floral ruffle dress

4. Red boots

This is another of my favorite Valentine’s day outfits. This is great for women who want to dress up but still feel comfy. I wore a floral ruffle-skirt dress with a pair of red over-the-knee boots.

I feel the boots really make the outfit what it is. This dress fits a little too big on me, so I wore a matching red belt to accentuate my waistline.

This look is chic, casual, and the boots are actually super comfortable to walk in. As for the accessories, I added a pair of black frames and a black handbag with gold details.

Black perforated dress with red pumps

5. Accents of red

Up next is another dressy, romantic look, but this time with a black dress. Black is a fantastic base color for pretty much any outfit and I love the details on this dress; it works as a standalone piece.

The outer layer is perforated and underneath there's a black cami dress. I love that this dress is so unique and also versatile..

I added the touch of red in the shoes. If you're not a fan of wearing red, then I recommend going for red accents instead.

I also accessorized this look with a houndstooth clutch bag and tied my hair up for an elegant look.

White jeans, blue polka-dot top, and red accessories

6. White and red combo

Here, I went for a pair of white jeans, a blue and white polka dot top, red pumps, and a large red clutch bag. I love the detail on the blouse; I can make a bow with the necktie or leave the tie hanging loose.

The accents of red here create a nice sophisticated Valentine's Day look. I decided to create an updo for my hair, then finished with some statement earrings.

This outfit would be great for either a date or hanging out with friends. It's comfortable but dressed up. The touches of red make it perfect for Valentine's Day.
