Turn a Button Down Shirt Into This Going Out Top
Hey guys! Today, I’m going to show you one of my favorite button-down shirt hacks. Button down shirts are great for work or other formal settings, but when you’re going out at night a button down can make you look kind of stiff.
I’m always looking for ways to make my clothes more versatile, so here is a hack to turn a regular button down into a fun and flirty ‘going out’ top.
I’m doing this trick using a really nice black satin button-down shirt. Find one of your favorite button down shirts.
Tools and materials:
- Button down shirt
- 2 feather slap bracelets
1. Close one button
Start with your shirt unbuttoned and close the button at the center of your chest.
2. Wrap the front panels
Take one of the bottom corners of the shirt and pull it through the buttoned section from underneath so it comes out over the top.
Take the other side and pull it over the top of the buttoned button and thread it through so it’s hanging from under the button.
3. Tie and tuck
Tie the hanging sides of the shirt so it sits in a nice knot.
Then tuck up the sides of the shirt neatly into the shirt. Then tuck the color into the shirt.
4. Feather cuffs
For the finishing touch add some feather cuffs.
