3 Ways to Wear the Sheer Clothing Trend

Sheer clothing has been an ongoing trend for most of this year. Anything somewhat see-through will help you nail it. With the change in seasons coming up, it’s also a good way to add a layer to your summer wardrobe without adding warmth.

What I love about sheer clothing is it gives a hint of suggestiveness (depending on how much you’re showing underneath!), and most of the fabrics are flowy and drapey and add a bit of drama to an outfit.

Here are three ways to wear the sheer clothing trend.

Sheer Flowy Top Over a Graphic T-shirt

This look combines the romanticism of a flowy top with the edginess of a graphic band t-shirt. Pick a white tee with a bold print to show well under the sheer layer. This look is perfect for a concert, party or other fun outing when you want to show off a bit of your personality and taste in music! Shop sheer flowy top

Lace Top Over a Bralette

If you love the look of a midriff top but don’t love showing your stomach, a little coverage with a sheer top is your answer. Opt for a lace top with see-through appeal and layer it over a bralette, and you’ll have a sexy look that’s not overt in showing too much skin. If you’re uncomfortable showing your middle, opt for a tank top or camisole underneath. Be sure to pick a contrasting color to make the design of the lace pop on top. Shop sheer lace top

Sheer Blouse Over A Tank Top

For a more conservative look that still gets in on the sheer trend, try a sheer button-down blouse over a tank top or a short-sleeved t-shirt. You’ll feel completely covered, but the sheer drape over it will add a layer of interest to your outfit. You can look for a sheer top with some embroidery, a pattern design or a solid color with a matching top underneath for a monochrome look or contrasting pop underneath. Shop sheer blouse

Now that you know three ways to wear the sheer clothing trend, will you try it?

I've been wearing sheer long sleeve shirts for years over my sleeveless tops & camisoles. They are hard to find since not TRENDY. I find my sheer shirts at Thrift stores or Retro \ Classic clothes on EBay or ETSY online.

That's a great look. I'm a big fan of thrift store shopping - you never know what treasures you'll find! Thanks for the comment!
