5 Chic Winter Blue Outfits for the January Blues
After a hectic holiday season, I always seem to have the January blues. So, I try to wear bright colors to lift my spirits up. Just because it is winter does not mean we need to resort to wearing black and gray clothing. Wearing a vibrant color like blue will lift your mood. It does not hurt to add a pop of color to your outfits especially during the winter. You might lighten up the room or lift another person's spirits up.

For a chic casual look, wear a cerulean blue long cardigan with a leopard print top and black skinny jeans. Accessorize the outfit with a long pendant necklace. I like to wear knee high boots with my skinny jeans.
If you want to elevate a chic casual outfit, wear a silk blouse with a pearl necklace and pearl bracelet. I bought this beautiful silk royal blue top from "La Roque". Every career woman should own a skirt suit. In addition to getting the typical black skirt suit, career women should also add a color skirt suit to their closets. I bought this powerful Tahari blue skirt suit from a thrift store for a huge discount. I accessorized this professional blue skirt suit with a silk pink patterned Alexander McQueen Scarf (Target collaboration). Black tights and Zara sock booties with clear heels complete this business outfit.
Instead of wearing a black winter coat for your black dress, try wearing a bright color winter coat for a contrasting look. I am wearing a bright royal blue boucle coat with my black dress, black tights, and Zara sock booties (with clear heels). I absolutely love wearing berets in the winter, so I am wearing a black beret that has pearls on it. I try not to be too matchy matchy with my outfits. For instance, if I am wearing a red dress, I will not wear a red coat. I will either wear a white coat or an animal print coat.
Plaid shirts are a must for fall and winter fashion. Most people wear the traditional red and black plaid shirts, but I recommend trying other plaid shirts in different colors. I am wearing a blue and black plaid shirt that was purchased from Amazon as a gift. To make this outfit more chic, I decided to wear a studded beret.
