How I Turned a Too Tight Denim Shirt Into a Distressed Vest
I had a denim long sleeve shirt that was WAY to tight (even before I became rounder then usual ) so I decided to cute of the sleeves and make it into a distressed vest.
I actually already cute off the bottom part for a different project (upcoming).
The sleeves were SO tight and this is a large!
I wasn't all that careful since I liked the distressed look and I didn't need it to be perfect.
Then I used tweezers to pull out a lot of the strings. This was probably the most tedious part of the process because I really wanted the bottom frayed. I also frayed the sleeves but not as much.
I found this dress at Target for only $10 and it was an XL but I liked the loose look for a maternity dress but also thought it would work really well for nursing. I loved the puffy sleeves but it needed the vest on top otherwise it would be too open!
I don't like the matching belt look but I thought it looked good as a head band! I was going for a boho look and I think I succeeded.
Enjoyed the project?
