Tips to Make Your Coat Look More Fitted
Styles change, and the coat you bought a few years ago just might not be the style you want this year.
Follow along, and I’ll show you two very simple things you can do with a loose-style coat to make it look more fitted and fashionable.
Tools and materials:
- Too-loose coat
- Elastic bands
- Belt
1. Refashion your old coat
Go into the back of your closet and pull out that coat you’ve stopped wearing because it just feels too big and too long now.
2. Shorten the sleeves
Do not simply roll up your too-long sleeves. That makes very bulky cuffs!
Instead, simply slide your sleeve up to the length you want it, and secure them in place with elastic bands at your elbow.
You can use clear elastic bands that will be invisible.
3. Make your coat more fitted
The matching belts that often come with long coats, tend to be bulky and often don’t really give you a nice fitted curve.
So, toss away the matching belt.
Pick out a nice coordinating fashion belt instead, and you go from bulky to fitted in an instant!
