Coat too big and long?

1. Refashion your old coat

Go into the back of your closet and pull out that coat you’ve stopped wearing because it just feels too big and too long now.

Do not simply roll up your too-long sleeves. That makes very bulky cuffs!

Instead, simply slide your sleeve up to the length you want it, and secure them in place with elastic bands at your elbow.

You can use clear elastic bands that will be invisible.

The matching belts that often come with long coats, tend to be bulky and often don’t really give you a nice fitted curve. 


So, toss away the matching belt.
