How to Do Easy DIY Skeleton Makeup For Halloween
Hey, guys! In this tutorial, I’m going to show you step-by-step easy skeleton makeup. The plan is to make half of my face into a skeleton and the other half normal, nighttime glam. Let’s get started!
Tools and materials:
- White face paint
- Black face paint
- Paintbrush
- Beauty blender
1. Cover the lower half of the face in white face paint
Starting with the lower half, I’m using a small paintbrush to draw out the skeleton shape in whiteface paint on the lower half of my face.
Then, I’m going to sacrifice an old beauty blender to fill in the main bulk of the face.
I also went in and outlined roughly where I wanted the black face paint to go in white because you mess up the black, you’re going to have to start in, so this step helps prevent it from happening.
2. Fill in the ‘smile’ of the face with black
So, for this step, I used black paint to create the “smile”, or the open mouth, of the skeleton makeup. I also outlined the entire thing and filled in my nose and lips.
3. Draw on the teeth
No, draw the teeth on top of the black ‘smile’ portion and over your lips. I started by adding black dots as a guide for where I wanted the teeth to go and I’m using a sort of grayish-white color to outline the teeth. I also extended my lips.
Then, color in the teeth and outline the nose in white.

Very nice instructions as you went along. 😊. But the music was horrible! And loud! Would rather listen to your voice or silence. You, though, my dear, are charming and sweet. Thanks for the video. My grandchildren LOVE to paint characters on their faces anytime of year. The blender was a great idea for large areas. Maybe I’ll do a skeleton face as I hand out treats on Halloween. 🤭
