Using only a few ingredients, today we’re going to make a lip balm.

In the winter months, our lips get incredibly dry, and we find it hard to wear lipstick or anything else on our lips because they are cracked and feel so sore and sensitive. This lip balm is the solution to that!

And, with the Holidays coming up, this DIY lip balm also makes a great Christmas stocking stuffer idea.

Let’s get started!

Tools and materials:

  • Spoon
  • Bowls
  • Shea butter
  • Beeswax
  • Coconut oil
  • Honey
  • Vitamin E oil
  • Small container
Melting the butter and oil together

1. Melt together butter and oil

In a bowl, combine three tablespoons of shea butter and three tablespoons of coconut oil. Melt the ingredients together in a microwave.

Adding beeswax

2. Add beeswax

While the mixture is still hot, add one tablespoon of beeswax.

If you don’t have beeswax or you don’t want to use it, you can use soy wax instead.

Adding honey

3. Add honey and vitamin E oil

Next, add one tablespoon of honey and a few drops of vitamin E oil and stir the ingredients together well.

Melting the mixture

4. Melt the mixture

The beeswax takes a long time to melt, so now you are going to melt the entire mixture again.

Transferring DIY lip balm

5. Transfer to a small container

The final step is to transfer the mixture to a small container, then let the lip balm cool and harden for a few days before using it.

And here we have the finished DIY lip balm!

All of the ingredients in the balm will moisturize your lips so you can say goodbye to sore, cracked lips and hello to smooth lips.

If we made it again, we would add some rose essential oil or other essential oil to give this lip balm a sweet-smelling scent.
