My daughter has these adorable overalls and she wore them all year round last year but this summer they are getting snug. In order to get another year of life out of them, I decided to convert it into an overall dress!

I started off by cutting off the inside of the crotch area. This even had snaps since they are are 3T!

For the back, I cut along the seam so that I was able to lay one flap over the other, I think this looks like a cute patch work style!

The front was a little more challenging since there was not enough fabric to just sew together. So I cut a piece of jean fabric and hand stitched it on.

I think the lighter fabric went so well with the bleached stars. I've said it before in previous posts but I am NOT a good seamstress, I can make my way around a sewing machine with some very basic things but much prefer to keep it simple!

No we can get another summer out of these bad boys!
