Easy Ponytail Hack to Make It Look Elegant
Making a simple ponytail look elegant enough for a night out isn’t always easy. Adding a stunning piece of jewelry can make all the difference.
Prepare your ponytail this way first though and you’ll make the most of any adornment you add to it.
Tools and materials:
- Hair tie
- Looped hair tool
- Jewelry chain clip
1. Make the ponytail
With one hand, gather most of your hair into a low ponytail. Leave a section on one side free.
Fasten a hair tie securely over the ponytail.
2. Fasten the free end
Loop the free section of your hair over and under the ponytail, covering the hair tie.
3. Use the looped hair tool
Push the loop tool into the side of your hair opposite the loose section, and pass the free end through it.
Pull the end down through your hair and tuck it under the hair tie.
4. Adjust your hair
Grab the ponytail in two sections and pull them apart, to tighten everything up.
Smooth your hair above the ponytail.
5. Add an adornment
Attach a clip or other hair jewelry just above the ponytail.

If you curl the ends of your hair before making the ponytail, you’ll get an even fuller look. But even with straight hair, this is a quick, elegant hairstyle for any occasion.
