How to Add a Silk Scarf in Your Hair
I think that scarves make a gorgeous hair accessory, and here I’m going to show you how to add a silk scarf to your hair in a cute, braided look.
Pick out a beautiful silk scarf, and let’s get started!
Tools and materials:
- Hair tie
- Thin silk scarf
1. Tie ponytail
Start off by tying your hair in a ponytail.
2. Slide hair tie down
Next, slide the hair tie down your hair a little bit.
3. Flip ponytail
Make a gap above the hair tie and bring your ponytail up and through it to create a flipped ponytail look.
4. Insert scarf
Take a thin silk scarf and thread the center of it through the gap that you made.
You should have an equal amount of the scarf hanging down on each side.
5. Braid hair
Now, proceed to braid your hair with the scarf all the way down to the bottom.
6. Tie end of scarf
When you reach close to the bottom of your hair, tie a knot with the scarf at the bottom of your braid.
How to add a silk scarf in your hair
Here is the finished look, and isn’t it adorable? I love how the hair tie is concealed by the scarf so that you can’t see it and how the scarf is gorgeously woven into my hair.
I also really like how the ends of the scarf hang down at the bottom, as this is a really pretty element.
