I love to make jewellery that’s eco friendly and these palm nuts, that are non edible from South America, make super beads.

They are sliced and dyed in variety of shapes sizes and colours!

I sort them into colour pairs and shapes that match although as they are with natural imperfections not always exact. That’s part of the charm though and makes them individual.

I decide to use sterling silver ear hooks and good quality metal jump rings. The round nosed pliers are a handy tool to use when making jewellery. I begin Opening the jump ring and feeding it through the Tagua nut ready drilled hole and squeezing it tight closed and secure with the pliers.

I then open the ear hook to fit jump ri g on and secure firmly .

Adding jump rings

The sterling silver ear hooks tend to stop ear lobe irritation but choose whatever is best for you.

I am going to have fun making many colourful pairs!

Adding ear hook

I repeat the process for the other earrings and in no time at all I have a pair of super bright yellow dangle earrings. Eco friendly and so light and comfy to wear.
