How to Wear Glitter Eyeshadow Over 40 & Still Look Sophisticated

There is a myth out there that adults should never wear glitter eyeshadow. If you are a mature adult who loves glitter eyeshadow because it makes you look pretty, confident, and fun, then follow this tutorial to learn how to wear glitter eyeshadow that makes you look like the sophisticated adult you are.
Tools and materials:
- Cream glitter eyeshadow
- Makeup brushes
1. Apply a base
Start with a base of your regular neutral-colored eyeshadow and some eyeliner.
2. Apply glitter eyeshadow
Using the eyeshadow applicator or your own makeup brush, apply your favorite cream glitter eyeshadow to your eyelids.
Here are some tips for applying glitter eyeshadow:
- Use cream glitter eye shadow because it is much easier to apply than powder and remember the principle: less is more.
- To apply it, pat it onto your eyelids rather than swiping.
- Let the glitter eyeshadow set and dry by keeping your eyes closed.
- If you have hooded eyes, use a darker glitter eyeshadow, and apply it right along your lash line instead of in the middle of your eyelids.
Apply the glitter shadow by patting it onto your eyelid from just above your eyeliner to just below your eye socket, stopping just before your tear duct. Use a small makeup brush to help even out the glitter.
Keep your eyes closed until the eyeshadow has set and dried.
Step back from your mirror to check that the application on both eyes is even. If it’s not, add a bit more glitter to one eyelid, or remove a bit with a Q-tip.
For an additional bit of brightness and glitter, use a very small synthetic concealer brush to apply a bit more glitter eyeshadow around your tear duct at the inner corners of your eyes.

I remember the day when bling, sequins, etc was meant for the older women, not the girls. Where did those days go?🥺👩🏻🦳
