How to Make Dainty DIY Pearl Bow Earrings Using a Dinner Fork

In this tutorial, I am going to teach you how to make your own pearl bow earrings. They are beautifully delicate and feminine, and of course, you can make the bow in any color you like.
These DIY earrings are very simple to make, and there’s an added bonus in this tutorial with a gem of a trick for making bows. So let’s get started!
Tools and materials:
- Pearl beads
- Headpins
- Earring wires
- Ribbon
- Pliers
- Dinner fork
1. Make your earring bows
Cut an 8-inch piece of ribbon. Wrap the ribbon around the tines of a fork once, then insert the end of the ribbon between the middle 2 tines from front to back.
Now you have your basic bow shape.
Pull the right tail of the bow back through the center of the fork from front to back, and you’ve made your knot.
Turn the fork around and, at the back of the fork, tightly tie another knot.
Slide the bow off of the fork and trim the ends to about 1-inch in length.
2. String the pearl and bow together
Slide a pearl bead onto a headpin.
Use the headpin to gently pierce the bow in the center of the knot. Slide the bow onto the headpin, with the bottom of the bow closest to the pearl.
3. Finish your pearl bow earrings
Cut the headpin, leaving enough to create a loop for your earring.
Use pliers to bend the remaining end of the headpin into a loop.
Insert the headpin loop into the earring wire.
Then use pliers to close the headpin loop around the earring wire.
Repeat steps 1 to 3 for the second earring.

SO pretty! I'll have to try this. Thanks for sharing!
Adorable, thank you for sharing. I am thinking small diameter gold or silver cording with knotted ends would look pretty too.
