My Love of Blazers
In the past couple of years blazers have become my wardrobe staple pieces. They are so versatile and go with everything and have so many uses. I have actually accumulated over 12 blazers in the past couple of years!
A simple all black outfit can be changed in a matter of minutes by adding a blazer to it . You can add a pop of colour to any all-black outfit by just adding a colourful blazer.

Even better add a brooch to the lapel of the blazer and your whole outfit stands out.
There are so many fabrics and textures to choose from - anything from a boucle to cotton to linen- you’re spoiled for choices!
I have been using blazers to add an extra layer and wearing them instead of a jacket. This way my whole outfit looks more put together and smarter. For example in the photo above, instead of wearing a cardigan over the dress, to keep myself warm I have put a black cotton blazer and pulled the sleeves up so as to make it a very nice casual look.
Blazers don’t have to be heavy or a fitted. I absolutely love this linen blazer, in the photo above. I have worn it all of the summer due to its versatility and lightness. Let’s face it in the British weather you always have to have an extra layer with you because it’s always cold -even in the summer!
These days, a blazer does not have to be part of a two-piece suit and worn mainly for office workwear.
You can wear a blazer casually over a daytime outfit as well as adding a little bit of glamour to an evening ensemble.
I love popping on a blazer over an otherwise casual look with jeans and a simple shirt.
