We all want every day to be a good hair day, yet with the busy lives we all lead we might not always have time to spend a whole 30 minutes styling it every morning.

Here I’m going to show you three easy and quick, yet cute hairstyles that will make you feel beautiful when you have to be out the door and don’t have much time to do your hair.

Tools and materials:

  • Hairbrush
  • Comb
  • Hair tie
  • Bobby pin
  • Clear elastic
Brushing hair

Style 1 - The up-do

1. Brush hair back

Section your hair off, taking a top section that we will make into a high ponytail. Brush this top section back, I recommend using a natural fiber brush.

Pulling out front parts

2. Pull out the front parts

Then take a comb and brush out the front parts of your hair.

Tying hair up

3. Tie hair up and style

Tie your hair into a high half-ponytail and take a strand of your hair from the half-ponytail and wrap it around the hair tie. Then secure it with a bobby pin.

Here is the finished look. I love how my hair looks wrapped around the hair tie, covering it so that you can’t see it. It actually looks like I’ve tied my hair up, just using my hair without a hair tie at all. This is such a clever hack that you should definitely capitalize on!

Style 2 - Twisted

Tying hair into ponytail

1. Tie hair in a ponytail

Brush your hair back into a ponytail and then tie it. I recommend using a black hair tie or one that matches your hair color.

This will be less obvious and make it look more intentional. Brightly colored hair ties get a big no-no from me. Then take a clear elastic and make another tie a few inches below the first one.

Pulling hair through hole

2. Pull hair through the hole

Make a hole in the middle of the part of your hair between the two hair ties by dividing your hair to either side.

Then the bottom part through.

Repeating process

3. Repeat

Take a clear elastic and make another tie a few inches below the second one. Repeat what you did before, making a hole in the middle of your hair and pulling the hair below through it.

The first time, I pushed the hair outside-in and the second time I pulled it inside-out. Putting your hair through the hold from different directions will create a more interesting look.

Here is the finished look and, as you can see, the top part looks different from the bottom part due to the different techniques that I used. I really like how this hairstyle is very textured and shows off the natural beauty of my hair.

Style 3 - Wrapped

Bringing ponytail through hole

1. Bring the ponytail through a hole

Tie your hair into a ponytail - don’t make it too tight. Then make a hole in your hair.

Tightening hair

Bring the ponytail through the hole. Then, if you have long hair, pass it through a second time as well. Tighten your hair.

Tying hair

2. Tie hair

Tie a clear elastic lower down your hair.

Pulling hair over

3. Pull hair over

Pull the ponytail over the hair that you’ve styled and secure it in place with some bobby pins.

Use as many bobby pins as you need until it’s secure and it has your desired shape. Don’t try to make it perfect, it’s prettier when it looks a bit messier.

Here is the finished look, it’s like your regular bun except more stylish and elevated. I loved the wrapped around look.
