Welcome back to another edition of living room looks for Thanksgiving. This weeks basic essential item we will be styling for the living room is, the blazer. Don’t you just love a good blazer. I know I do! Blazers are not just meant to be professional, but can be casual and stylish too! Let’s get into the basic essentials living room looks for Thanksgiving: blazer edition!

1. Oversized Blazer
Outfit Details: Blazer: Thrifted, Top: Ralph Lauren, Shorts: Justin (local store in Houston), Fanny Pack: Steve Madden, Boots: Forever 21

The first style of blazer that you can wear to the living room for Thanksgiving is an oversized blazer. This style of blazer is perfect for a boho style person wo likes an oversized look, or for anyone who can make the oversized blazer fit their type of style. One good thing I like about oversized blazers is that it can also be worn as a dress! How fun is that!

*Style Tip* Change your fun socks into fishnet stockings for a more sexy or grungy look

Since my style is not boho, I decided to make this look my own. I chose an oversized shirt dress and styled it with some biker shorts. If it is too cold on Thanksgiving, you can change the bottoms into leggings or jeans. I wanted to add some definition to my shape so I chose a belted fanny pack so I would not look so boxy! Pair with your favorite boots and you are ready for some good food in style.

2. Brown Blazer
Outfit Details: Blazer: Thrifted, Jogger Set: Morgan B. Styles , Handbag: Morgan B. Styles , Shoes: Thrifted (Steve Madden)

The second style of blazer is a brown blazer. This color is great for this Thanksgiving season which is why you need this color blazer for your next living room outfit. I styled this blazer with like colored browns to give a monochromatic look. This basic jogger set was a great match.

*Style Tip* Switch your open toe shoes for a bootie or OTK boot.

To add a lux vibe to this look I paired with a faux LV handbag that can also be worn as a clutch. You can find this handbag here. This look is a great option if meeting your significant others parents for the first time.

3. Statement Blazer

The third style of blazer is a statement blazer. This blazer can make a statement of its own and does not require much. If you decide to dress this blazer up, keep your clothing down to a minimal so that the blazer can stand out and make a statement as it should.

Outfit Details: Entire Look: Thrifted, Shoes: Puma

Because this blazer is the statement I chose to have a casual look. Joggers are a must have for this fall season, and for all my comfy casual babes this look is for you. This look is also great after eating all that good Thanksgiving food. You will have some comfort afterwards and not feel confined lol. See more of how you can style your basic joggers here.

5. Classic Black

The last style of blazer is classic black. This is the number 1 basic essential blazer that you must have to maximize your wardrobe. This blazer is the one that sets the tone for everything. Once you have this classic black blazer in your wardrobe, all of the others will make it easier for you to “Style Up” your outfits.

Outfit Details: Blazer: Thrifted, Top: Thrifted, Skirt: Forever 21, Socks: Beauty Supply, Handbag: HM, Shoes: Puma

This look is also for my casual babes as well. Just switch your joggers out for a skirt instead. This skirt can be styled to your liking. You can opt for a pleated skirt, pencil skirt, mini skirt (pictured here), knee length skirt etc. Make the look your own and what fits best for you. “Style Up” your look by adding a trendy sneaker with color to give your look more pop.

A second way to style your classic black blazer for Thanksgiving is with a festive dress. Dresses are an easy option because you can just throw them on and go. Just like a skirt you can choose the style of your dress for this holiday and what the weather allows. Always remember to be you and style to your liking. Once you start with the basics, you can “Style Up” along the way!

Outfit Details: Dress: HM, Blazer: Thrifted, Boots: Forever 21
