Style your hair like this to stay cool and look cool in this heat! Just follow along with my step-by-step tutorial.
Tools and materials:
- Comb
- Claw clip
- Clear hair elastics
- Bobby pins
- 2 decorative bobby pins
1. Make a center part
Start by parting your hair in the center and all the way down the back using a comb.
Then use a claw clip to hold one half of your hair to one side.
2. Make a Dutch braid
Begin braiding the hair from your temple, adding equal sections of hair to the outer strands as you pass them underneath the center strand each time.
Stop braiding when you get to this point, in line with the bottom of your ear, and tie it off with a clear, hair elastic.
3. Backcomb
Next, use your comb to backcomb the tail.
4. Make a twisted bun
Now, twist the tail around itself to make a small bun.
After twisting the hair as much as you can, tuck in the ends and secure it to the end of the braid with a bobby pin.
Add another bobby pin under the bun so it won’t budge.
5. Repeat
Now, repeat steps 2-4 on the other side.
Add some decorative bobby pins if you’d like and voilà ! Here’s the final look:
