GENIUS Fashion Hack: How to Wear Your Winter Sweater in Summer
This is a genius fashion hack to wear your favorite sweater vest all summer long.
When winter comes you can return everything the way it was!
All you need is some ribbon and a bobby pin to convert your sweater vest into a summer staple.
Tools and materials:
- Sweater vest
- Ribbon
- Bobby pin
1. Choose your ribbon
Choose a ribbon that compliments the colors of your vest and has a width that will easily slide through the holes of the knitting.
2. Thread it through
Measure the ribbon to be double the length of the space between the bottom of the armhole to the bottom of the vest, plus some extra length for tying a bow.
Tie one end of the ribbon to the bottom of a bobby pin.
Thread the ribbon through the holes in the sweater just under the armhole so the ribbon is coming out from both sides with about an inch to two inches in between.
Pull it through halfway so you have an even amount of ribbon on each side.
Then thread each side down to the bottom of the vest so the ribbon is coming in and out with one to two inches between each stitch.
Repeat this entire process under the second armhole.
3. Pull and tie
Pull the ribbon at the bottom so it scrunches the side of the vest.
Tie it in a bow and repeat on the other side.
