Creating a Beautiful Skeleton Top Inspired by Phoebe Bridgers'
I have been completely hypnotized by this shaggy skeleton top worn by Phoebe Bridgers, and here we’re going to have a go at making it.
I love how it’s both appropriate for Halloween yet still stylish at the same time, so you can really wear it all year round. Let’s get started!
Tools and materials:
- Beaded fringe fabric
- Black fabric
- Scissors
- Sewing machine
- Needle and thread
- Pins
1. Cut base fabric
First, cut some black fabric in a ribcage shape.
This will be the base where you will sew the beaded fringe fabric on top of it.
2. Cut fringe fabric
Next, cut your beaded fringe fabric into strips and then pin it to the black fabric.
I looked at a picture of the ribs while I was doing this to make sure that my design would look somewhat anatomically correct.
3. Sew to base
Proceed to sew the strips of fabric to the base to look like a ribcage.

Here is the finished top, and I’m super happy with how it turned out. Not only does it look like a ribcage, but it’s also really trendy and chic as well.
If you want to get dressed up on Halloween but you don’t want to look silly, this beautiful shaggy skeleton top is a great option for you. Happy Halloween!
