Turn a $1 Fan Into Your Halloween Costume

This $1 fan Halloween costume is perfect for those of you who want a quick costume without spending big bucks or a lot of effort. Let’s get started.
Tools and materials:
- Folding fan
- Cardboard
- Hot glue
- Headband
- Chain jewelry
- Plastic flowers
- Plastic discs/coins
- Plastic pearls
1. Place a half-circle cardboard on the fan
Cut out a half-circle shape from a piece of thin cardboard. Apply hot glue and place it onto the center of the folding fan.
2. Cut out the bottom
Cut out the bottom of the folding fan beneath the circular cardboard.
3. Glue on a headband
Apply hot glue to the bottom of the circular cardboard piece and place a thin headband.
4. Glue sticks to the top
Separate the bottom of the fan that you cut out into individual sticks. Glue those individual sticks to the top of the fan.
5. Glue down rows of chain jewelry
Cover the circular cardboard by hot-gluing down jewelry.
I did two layers of chain links, and then in the final row, I used a chain of gems. Leave a tiny bit of the cardboard still visible at the top.
6. Hot glue two plastic flowers
Hot glue two plastic flowers at the end of the chains.
7. Glue a row of discs
Use plastic discs/coins to cover the rest of the cardboard.
8. Glue a row of flowers
Glue a different batch of plastic flowers above the row of golden discs.
9. Glue small pearls to the top
Hot glue small pearls at the top of the sticks.
10. Spray paint
Spray paint the entire headpiece with gold spray paint.
