I had some 12 gauge wire lying around and some extra beads so I decided to get creative.

I started by cutting 3 wires into 12 inch pieces using wire cutters. then using two pliers on either side I twisted one side.

I left the end open for now. Then I divided the 3 lose ends to create a braid.

I started braiding the wire and adding one bead onto the middle wire after each braid part.

Here is a break down. I added the bead.

The folded the left wire over the middle.

Next folded the right wire over the left. Now the new middle wire is ready for the next bead.

I did this with 12 beads. This is perfect if you don't have enough for an entire project.

At the end I twisted the three wires together again using plyers.

On on end I made a loop and finished it off with a wire wrap.

On the other side I made a hook to create a clasp.

It may not be the most professional looking clasp but it gets the job done!

I absolutely love how this came out with some left over items!
