Doing this to your hair gives it such a unique look. Adding a scarf creates awesome variety!


Here are four amazing hairdos to check out.

Tools and materials:

  • Scarf
  • Hair elastic
Side Dutch braid

1. Side Dutch braid

Side Dutch braid

Make a Dutch braid along the side of your head around to the back.


Combine the braid with the rest of your hair. Tie everything together with a scarf.

Gather the hair from the top of your head, pull it to the back and separate it into three sections for a braid.

Fold a scarf in half adding it to your hair from the center, combining each side to two of the three hair strands.


Make a French braid. Halfway down, take the scarf out of the and continue braiding.

Create a bun by wrapping the braid around itself at the back of the head. Use the scarf strands to wrap, tie and secure the bun in place.

3. Scarf braid look

This look starts the same as the previous one.


This time keep the scarf in the braid until you reach the bottom and use the ends of the scarf to tie off the braid.

Take a section of hair from the side of your head and braid it towards the back.


When you get to the back add some hair from the other side of your head. Tie with a hair elastic, then tie a scarf around it, covering the elastic.
