I have a blouse where I love the print, but I don’t love the fit, and because of that, I don’t end up wearing it very much.

Here, I’m going to give the shirt a jaw-dropping transformation without a single stitch. Carry on reading to find out how.

Tools and materials:

  • Shirt

  • Iron-on adhesive

Cutting shirt

1. Cut shirt down center

I started off by cutting the shirt down the center.

Applying adhesive tape

2. Apply adhesive tape

The shirt is too big for me so I shortened it by using adhesive tape. I stuck the tape on either side of the now-open shirt.

Ironing tape on

3. Iron on tape

Then I folded the fabric over and ironed it down.

The top is now a cover-up that is so cute and perfect for days at the beach. I have the option to wear it open like this:

Or I can tie it up at the bottom like this. I think that both ways of wearing it look great. This is a super easy DIY which was so easy to do - it didn’t involve a single stitch!
