Brightening Mask DIY

I’ll show you how to make a turmeric brightening mask, a DIY aloe vera face mask, a charcoal face mask, and two more masks as a bonus. These brightening mask DIY methods give your face and body a luminous, radiant glow. Ready to make your skin beautiful? Let’s get started.
Important note: Many of the ingredients can be found on Amazon or a natural food shop. Kindly make the face mask fresh each time you use them. These are natural ingredients with no preservatives. Patch test your skin before using the mask on your face. If you are allergic to any of the ingredients do not use the mask. Always use sunscreen in the morning even if you are indoors to protect your skin.
Tools and materials:
- Bowl
- Tablespoon
- Teaspoon
- Whisk (optional)
- Facial brush (optional)
- Each mask will have its own ingredients
Turmeric mask
1. Mix the ingredients
1 tsp chickpea flour
1/2 tsp wild turmeric
2 tablespoons yogurt
Mix the ingredients to combine.
The chickpea flour helps to gently exfoliate your skin. The turmeric helps to brighten your skin. The yogurt adds much needed moisture.
2. Apply to skin
Apply to your face and body. Leave on for 20 minutes and then rinse. Use 1 to 2 times per week.
Clay mask
1. Mix the ingredients
1 teaspoon bentonite clay
1 tablespoon rose water
Stir to combine. The clay heals acne and unclogs pores. The rose water improves skin health.
2. Apply to skin
Apply to your face. Leave on for 10 minutes and rinse off. Follow up with a good moisturizer or face oil.
Rice mask
1. Mix the ingredients
1 tablespoon rice flour
1 teaspoon orange peel powder
2 tablespoons raw honey

The rice flour helps to improve your skin tone. The orange peel powder brightens your skin. Lastly, the honey helps to moisturize your skin.
Add the ingredients.
Stir to combine.
2. Apply to skin
Apply an even layer on damp skin. Leave on for 20 minutes and rinse off.
Licorice mask
1. Mix the ingredients
1 tablespoon licorice powder
1 tablespoon fermented rice water or yogurt

The licorice powder brightens skin and adds a glow. The rice water or yogurt promotes healthy skin.
Stir to combine.
2. Apply to skin
Apply to your face and body for 20 minutes and rinse off.
Aloe vera DIY face mask
1. Mix the ingredients
1 tablespoon aloe vera gel
1 teaspoon activated charcoal or matcha green tea
Aloe vera helps to moisturize and soothe skin. Mix it with activated charcoal or green tea to refine skin.
2. Apply to skin
Apply evenly to your face. Keep on for 15 minutes and rinse off.
