How to Wear the Colour of the Year
The colour of the year for 2022 chosen by Pantone is Very Peri. It is described as being part of the blue colour family while having undertones that are red/violet. I'm obsessed with this colour and have been wearing all year, so I thought I would share with you some of the styles that I've loved putting together. This colour is flattering on everyone, so make sure to add some Very Peri to your wardrobe soon!
Often times I prefer to keep my styling quite minimal for an average day. Pairing neutral pieces with a single statement piece keeps the look minimal, but still trendy. These pants match the Pantone Very Peri colour quite well and are a great pair of statement pants. Adding white accessories and a cute pair of heeled sandals was perfect for this golden summer evening. I highly recommend getting a pair of Very Peri coloured pants if you like playing around with colours like I do.
Here is a matching suit I styled in the Very Peri colour scheme. Both the blazer and pants were part of a matching set, then I wore a corset style off-white top and added a chunky gold necklace. For footwear I chose a pair of nude heels because I already had to much colour drawing the eye with my suit. Since the suit pieces had plenty of pockets I opted to not add a bag to this look. It was perfect for a date night out on vacation and I would recommend trying a matching suiting set next time you have a dinner date planned because it was so comfortable and so stylish at the same time! I also loved having the option of removing the blazer since I had a super cute top underneath and it still looked great.
Very Peri even found it's way into my favourite accessories this summer. These heels are a new staple that I added into my wardrobe and are my favourite for adding a pop of colour to a neutral outfit and also for matching with other purple pieces. This crochet bag is a great piece for summer or for on holiday because it pairs so well with warm weather. It would also be a fun project to try and crochet yourself if you're crafty!
This is the viral Zara dress that took the world by storm this summer. Rightfully so because it is incredibly flattering and looks stunning for every occasion. Since the dress will be the focus of the look I actually paired it with just a simple pair of heels and nothing else.
